History of The Tula Cartridge Works dates back to 1880 when Emperor Alexander II ordered to set up the ammunition factory in the city of Tula.
As early as in 1882 the Factory ensured yearly production of more than 30 million cartridges. The Tula Cartridge Works provided greater than 25% of all ammunition deployed by the Russian Army during the World War I (1914-1918).
The Tula Cartridge Works contributed greatly to supplying the Red Army during the World War II (1941-1945). The Factory produced 7.62 mm cartridges for ShKAS machine gun, 7.62 mm cartridges for TT pistol and cartridges for Nagant revolver.
History of The Ulyanovsk Cartridge Works dates back to 1916 when the Russian Government decided to build an ammunition factory in the town of Simbirsk (now Ulyanovsk).
The Factory produced over 350 million of ammunition deployed by the Russian Army during the World War I.
